From community moments and sunset gatherings to the Pride Parade and an unforgettable dance party, this is the grand finale for Hedland, a vibrant showcase of visibility, connection and pride.

Friday 19th of June Program

Queens in the Square

10:30am - 12.230pm

South Hedland Square

Meet and mingle with local queens in a joyful daytime celebration of pride, visibility and community connection.. Grab a photo, sashay with style and add some sparkle to your day. 


Pride Sunset Food Markets & Movie Night

6:00pm – 10:30pm

Movie Starts at 7.30

Marapikurrinya Park

Hosted by the Town of Port Hedland kick off the evening with delicious food from local food trucks as the sun sets over the Pilbara. Enjoy Drag Queen performances (mc’d by Hannah Conda of RuPaul’s Drag Race), free face painting and a licensed bar.


Then settle in from 7:30pm for a screening of The Rocky Horror Picture Show under the stars. There will be an interactive photo booth available so make sure you dress up to make the most of this fun night out. Bring a picnic rug or chair and enjoy a night of great food, community atmosphere.

 

Saturday 20th June Program

Pride Markets

8:30am – 12:00pm

Wedge Street, Port Hedland CBD

The popular Wedge Street Markets goes rainbow! Featuring local small businesses, makers and creatives. Come along, show your support, browse unique finds and soak up the festival atmosphere

Pride Parade

9:00am – 10:30am

This is the moment the Pilbara shines.

The streets of Port Hedland will explode with colour, music and pride as our community comes together for the Pilbara Pride Parade. Hosted by the iconic Hannah Conda and broadcast live by Ngaarda Media Roebourne, this high-energy celebration of visibility and inclusion brings businesses, organisations, families and supporters together in one powerful display of unity.

Expect colour. Expect noise. Expect pride.

Come cheer, wave, dance and celebrate as the CBD fills with unapologetic joy and community spirit.

 Floats and participant registrations available online. Please note registrations close Wednesday 17 June.

Rainbow Tug Spectacular

Following Pride Parade, stick around at Marpikurrinya Park for a special tug boat show. Prepare to be splashed!


Rainbow Story Time

10.30-11.30am

South Hedland Library

Join Prawn Cracker Spice and Friends for a special story time at the Port Hedland Visitor Centre. Sing, dance and have lots of fun!

* Stay after Rainbow Story Time to find out if your little artist has won a prize in the Rainbow Colouring-In Competition.

Race day meets Pride as queens take centre stage for a vibrant afternoon showcase at PH Races. Expect sparkle, personality and high-energy performances that bring colour and celebration to this iconic local event. A perfect blend of community spirit, entertainment and festival flair as Pride continues across Hedland.

 

Red Dust and Rhinestones - Pride Dance Party -1am

The Walkabout Hotel

The only party in Hedland to go past midnight!

DJ Kayty Banks returns for our Pride Dance Party, and will be joined by our Queens and Dancers Hannah Conda, Jessica James, Prawn Cracker Spice, Sunting Wong, Cougar Morrison and Tootz for performances throughout the night.

Pull out cowboy boots, your best flannel and akubra and get ready to dance all night.
