Bling Your Business

During Pilbara Pride Festival, we invite local businesses across the region to decorate their storefronts in rainbow pride and show visible support for our LGBTQIA+ community.

From windows and counters to uniforms and displays, Bling Your Business is a simple but powerful way to stand in solidarity and help create a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere throughout the Pilbara.

Bling will be supplied by the Port Hedland Visitor Centre to sponsors and participating businesses, and additional Bling Packs are available for purchase for those who would like to get involved.

Together, we can fill our streets with colour, pride and community spirit.

Family & Community Day

South Hedland

Family & Community Day is one of the most vibrant and welcoming days of the Pilbara Pride Festival. It’s a celebration of connection, culture and community spirit. Bringing together families, friends, businesses and allies for a full day of colour, inclusion and pride in the heart of South Hedland.

Rainbow Yoga / Pilates in the Square

Start your morning with gentle movement and mindful connection in a relaxed and supportive outdoor session. All experience levels are welcome.

Pride WA Rainbow Games Carnival

Bring your friends and join in the fun with inclusive games designed to celebrate participation, teamwork and community spirit.

Rainbow Pride Walk

Walk together in colour and solidarity as families, friends and supporters show their pride around South Hedland Square.

Dreamtime Stories and Dancing

Gather to experience storytelling and dance led by Uncle George Pitt, Uncle Bruce Thomas and Aunty Jeanette Dhu, celebrating culture, connection and shared community.

Rainbow Paint and Sip

Unleash your creativity in a relaxed and laughter-filled evening of painting, connection and drag queen flair. Led by Michelle Cook, this guided art session includes nibbles, a complimentary glass of wine, your own take-home canvas and plenty of laughs, along with a fabulous drag queen meet and greet.

An elegant evening beneath the Pilbara night sky, featuring a curated dining experience by Chef Andre at the Civic Centre Gardens

Enjoy canapés, a three-course dinner and a licensed bar, alongside comedy, live performances and Karaogay entertainment.

Diversity and Inclusion Workshop

A practical and engaging workshop delivered by Pride WA, designed to support inclusive workplaces and strengthen community spaces across the Pilbara.

D&D Night – Youth Event

Hosted by Pride WA and Headspace this is a welcoming Dungeons & Dragons event designed to offer a safe, supportive and inclusive space for LGBTQIA+ young people to connect, socialise and play.

Whether you’re a seasoned adventurer or brand-new to the game, friendly Dungeon Masters will guide you through a collaborative storytelling quest where creativity, imagination and confidence can thrive.

The Port Hedland Visitor Centre presents a special Pride Footpath Market featuring local small businesses, makers and creatives. Come along, show your support, browse unique finds and soak up the festival atmosphere

Meet and mingle with local queens in a joyful daytime celebration of pride, visibility and community connection.

Pride Sunset Food Markets & Movie Night

Kick off the evening with delicious food from local food trucks as the sun sets over the Pilbara, then settle in from 7:30pm for a movie under the stars. Bring a picnic rug or chair and enjoy a relaxed night of great food and community atmosphere

Pride Colouring Competition Winners Announced

Our Pride Colouring Competition invites young artists across the Pilbara to get creative and celebrate pride through colour and imagination.

Open from 1 May to Wednesday 17 June, colouring sheets can be downloaded from our website and submitted as outlined on the entry form.

Winners will be announced during the festival program. Proudly supported by our community sponsors Earthbeat.

A perfect blend of community spirit, entertainment and festival flair as Pride continues across Hedland.
